England and Paul Collingwood Unhappy with Duckworth Lewis in Twenty20 After Loss to WI

England were not excited by the prospect of losing a match they felt they could have won during the 2010 ICC World Twenty20 and the England, Paul Collingwood, was not hiding those thoughts.

Collingwood was disappointed that despite England scoring 191 runs, West Indies had only to face six overs and be determined winners by the Duckworth Lewis method after rain played a huge role on Monday at the Providence Stadium in Guyana.

Collingwood let his feelings be known, " Ninety-five percent of the time you would defend 191. Unfortunately the Duckworth-Lewis had other ideas and brought the equation completely the other way and made it very difficult for us. There is a major problem with it in this format of the game. I've no problem with it in 50 overs but in this format it has to be revised."

Admitting that the win was unpleasant for more than one reason, Collingwood surmised the mood, "It's made me very frustrated tonight because I've come off the losing captain, but it's certainly got to be revised in this form." England had lost to the West Indies in the 2009 ICC World Twenty20 edition through Duckworth Lewis method as well and naturally Collingwood was not impressed and even the West Indies captain, Chris Gayle, stated he was with Collingwood and England on the issue of using the rain rule in this format.
