It has come as the most recent blow for the England cricket. The magnificent opener Marcus Trescothick will have to be left out of the England squad for next month's ICC Champions Trophy. Trescothick has made himself unavailable for the same because he is in some sort of sensitive medical condition, though Healthcare specialists have described his condition as acquired gastrointestinal infection. He will leave the team after the Pakistan Series.

Though he has opted out of the squad, but wishes to be fit to tour down under in the winter. Many top players of the England team are already struggling with injuries and this may add to the worries of the English selectors. The other players who are unlikely to make it to the champions trophy are the all-rounder Andrew Flintoff , pace-men Steve Harmison, and Darren Gough who had to leave the Pakistan series half way through, and also Michael Vaughan whose knee is a subject of worry.
