Morgan was expected to be one of the big catches of the IPL 3. But he felt less sure of himself playing the iPL 3 season after watching Shahid Afridi remaining unsold. Perhaps fearing the expectations of the franchisees who chose to overlook the Pakistan Twenty20 captain, Morgan did not fancy his chances.
However, luck smiled upon him, and Vijay Mallya had no hesitation putting Morgan's name on his buying list for the Royal Challengers Bangalore where he joins his England team mate, Kevin Pietersen.
