Kevin Pietersen will not feature in the Champions League Twenty20 in India after all.

KP's name was the conspicuous absence on the list of players from the Royal Challengers Bangalore taking part in the Champions League T20 in India in October.
KP, who is recovering from an Achilles Heel surgery, has not been named in the ICC Champions Trophy England squad for South Africa. However, Pietersen is apparently afraid to upset the ECB (ECB)bosses by turning around and participating in the IPL spin off.
Pietersen is also afraid of aggravating his injury, as he dd in South Africa during IPL 2 and hence, has decided to stay away from the tournament and team that he has also captained before Anil Kumble took over.
