In a surprising move, the man behind the match fixing scandal that broke out has been released even as cash has been recovered from the hotel rooms of the Pakistan cricketers.

Mazhar Majeed, who reportedly received 150,000 pounds from an undercover reporter as the former revealed plans for spot fixing by bowling no balls has been released on bail with provision for another questioning later. Apparently no charges have been filed against the man who is said to be a real estate tycoon and owner of a football club.
Meanwhile, investigations have supposed helped recover cash in the form of bank notes in excess of players' allowances from some of the rooms occupied by the Pakistan cricketers even as mobile phones of the Pakistan captain, Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif and Mohammed Aamer have been confiscated as part of the investigation.
