Flintoff should not be neglected: Gillespie

All-rounder Andrew Flintoff should have been selected for England's first test against Pakistan. He is fit. The selectors should not overlook the dashing all-rounder, says Australian pacer Jason Gillespie.

The England all-rounder has played his second Twenty20 match against Gillespie's Yorkshire this week. Flintoff has recovered from ankle injury now.

Still, the selectors did not take him for the first test against Pakistan at Lord's. Gillespie explained that he was stunned at the mysterious decision.

However, the England and Wales Cricket board has a different idea for Flintoff. England wants to preserve Flintoff for the Ashes Series. Therefore, the board is assigning Dave Roberts to assist Flintoff to regain his fitness.
