"Please, God Please, Don't let Gambhir play in the final match in Nagpur," This was what the Australians were praying.

As per Australian Batsman Micheal Hussey, they were sort of hoping that the banned Left hander opening batsman misses the test but as the process had started regarding appeal of Gambhir in which he was punished and banned for one test match for elbowing Shane Watson and whether the verdict will be against Gambhir they were unsure and now he is unable to play, it will surely help the Aussies. Justice Albie Sach upheld the one test ban.

Gambhir is in top form and so far the leading run scorer in the series. Hussey also compared the left hander with Justin Langer, the retired Australian opener, short and punchy and one who knows his game very well. Talking about his technique, Hussey said that Gambhir lets the ball comes onto the bat, glides it to the offside well and works it off his pad. He was full of praises for the Indian Batsman saying that he was a very good player and far exceeded their expectations as to how well he has played.

He also blamed Gambhir for trying to pick a fight with any player of the opposite team to get in that particular mindset which makes him score runs. The BCCI have refused to accept the decision and now looks all set for yet another showdown with ICC.

As per BCCI Secretary Mr. Srinivasan the decision was violation of principles of justice and penalizing the player without giving him an opportunity to defend could jeopardies his career.

No opportunity for oral hearing and legal representation was given and also denying his request for documents and records, the Appeals Commissioner had just made a bold statement that acceding to such requests will not in anyway contribute to better resolution of this matter.

Such adamant attitude just to bar the leading scorer from playing the decisive match creates doubts in our minds whether Gambhir or in fact the Indian side was subjected to a thoroughly biased jugdgement?
