Speaking to the media, coowner of the Kolkata Knight Riders, Jai Mehta spoke candidly about the decision to reappoint Sourav Ganguly as captain of the KKR team for IPL 3.

Mehta spoke briefly about the multiple captain theory that backfired, of how the former coach, John Buchanan had different vision that did not include Ganguly as captain. But he felt now that Ganguly had the backing of the current KKR coach, Dav Whatmore, he feels appointing Ganguly as captain as been a decision made keeping the harmony of the team in mind.
The KKR have had their own saga of IPL 2 which they will want to forget in a hurry and move on, with Dada leading the way once more.
