Another Australian is not in the mood to molly cuddle the BCCI or their friends.

Jason Gillespie, the former pace man, is also baying for the blood of Lalit Modi, The IPL commisioner. As per Modi, the IPL programme schedule was not supposed to have affected the Future Tours Programme but Sri Lanka have cancelled their Test tour to England next year as it coincided with IPL. The Australia-South Africa test was moved a week for Modi's Champions League Twenty20. That though has been put on the backburner now with the teror strikes in Mumbai.
Jason is also sour at the fact that Cricket Australia is siding with the BCCI rather than supporting players like Micheal Kasprowicz and himself who have played for their country for so many years. By the way Jason was banned by the CA when he signed a three year deal with the rebel Indian Cricket League.
Jason predicts a gloomy future for the Test cricket, when countries will bypass the Test cricket as more and more Twenty/20 leagues are on their way. Representing countries will belong to a by gone era.
He also quoted a clause in their contract which clearly states that if one is asked by the country to play that form of cricket, ICL will not stand in his way, but now BCCI has stepped backwards and said they would not allow it.
It seems nowadays every cricketer has signed up either ICL/IPL despite restricted by their countries' cricket board and still want the best of both worlds, wanting the authorities to bend rules in their favour.
But is it cricket?
