The former Australian fast bowler, Glenn McGrath, may not be able to bail Australia out of the Ashes mires they find themselves in as they enter the fifth Test of Ashes 2010. But he is involved in a more noble cause in memory of his late first wife, Jane McGrath, who lost her life battling cancer.

The Sydney Test has taken centrestage in Australia in recent years not only for the great game of Test cricket but also, the purpose of breast cancer awareness that has been part of the 'Pink Test' as part of the McGrath Foundation.
McGrath, who married Sara Leonardi last year and has two children from his first marriage, was busy promoting the cause ahead of the Sydney Test but the response of the England cricketers has overwhelmed him so much that he now hopes to take the cause further to England.
McGrath has expressed the desire to take the cause of the cancer foundation further to England and create a similar Pink Test in England, and amongst the desired venues, typical of a cricketer, has list Lord's as one of the dream venues where sport could combine for the cause of raising cancer awareness and funds.
It is certainly a change of character from the miserly, ruthless and deadly accurate bowler that McGrath was on the field. He once claimed he felt like killing the batsmen when they took runs off him. As stingy as his record has been, there is no doubt it is no measure of his heart.
