Daniel Vettori has suggested his own job as the New Zealand captain was not without its risks after suffering routs at the hands of Bangladesh and India. However, he believes an immediate change in the New Zealand coach's job is on the cards.

Mark Greatbatch was serving as the New Zealand coach on both the tours that failed to elicit the desired results from the Black Caps ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011. In light of that New Zealand cricket is looking to get to the bottom of why they have fared so poorly to lose 4-0 to Bangladesh and 5-0 whitewash against India.
Greatbatch, for his part, has even offered to resign but suggested that there were problems within the New Zealand team where members were not mentally equipped to handle the rigours of the game.
The New Zealand captain has refrained from commenting on Greatbatch or his comments but has now openly set his eyes on John Wright, the former Indian coach and former New Zealand cricketer who is part of the structure. He believes Wright's stint in the Indian sub continent can help New Zealand resurrect their campaign after two very poor series.
Wright enjoyed a good stint as the Indian coach, spawning even the way for the likes of Gary Kirsten to continue the trend of foreign coaches. Wright's partnership with Sourav Ganguly catapulted India from a sleeping giant to a team to reckon with. Vettori is hoping that will pay off to New Zealand's advantage.
