The West Indies Players Association have been able to resolve their contract related issues with the Guyana Cricket Board following which it has been confirmed that Guyana will be participating after all.

Concerns were raised after talks failed to the extent that it necessitated the government of Guyana to step after the West Indies Cricket Board's apparent interest in retaining one third of the Champions League Twenty20 participation fee of $500,000, which the players promptly declined to accede to.

Eventually an agreement was arrived at after the Guyana captain, Ramnaresh Sarwan met with the GCB chief, putting an end of the drama.
