Matthew Hayden is now speaking from a privileged position in Cricket Australia. But he also has the experience of being a player.

The former bludgeoning opening batsman has joined critics in slamming the seven match India Australia ODI series, stating that player injuries and work load must be taken into considered.
A director for CA, Hayden believes that ODI stand a chance as the other formats, contrary to Shane Warne who will lead him in an Australian All Star Twenty20 contest in a few day's time.
Hayden wanted "the meaningless stuff" (referring to Bangladesh series against Australia) in a bid to maintain sanity in terms of scheduling and not simply loading the calendar with matches "for the sake of it".
