Gautam Gambhir have been penalized for elbow touch with Australian All Rounder-Shane Watson. He would not be able to play fourth and Final Match against Australia,in Nagpur.

He was charged under C1 Level 2 that means he did not play the game with team spirit thereby breaching the ICC code of conduct according to which any degree of physical contact is unacceptable. However Gambhir has got 24 hours to appeal against the adjudicator's decision.
But Shane Watson has been found guilty of verbal exchange not in keeping with the spirit of the game and was fined 10% of the match fees.He was charged under CI level 1. As per Mr. Broad the punishment for Gambhir was on the lighter side looking at his past record he was to be charged under clause 2.4 which meant a ban or two test matches, but as the provocation was great and the physical contact was minimum this lighter penalty.
So far so good, but what about Shane Watson, why was he left off with just a 10% penalty ,on one hand Broad is saying both the players did not play with in the spirit of the game and admitting that the provocation was there. Both players were found guilty of the same breach of code of conduct of ICC then why this biased decision?
As always Indian Cricketers are on the receiving end.Aussies are guilty of much more verbal abuse but they are tolerated as they are the "Mighty Australians" where we are just Indians.
I think it is high time the Indian Cricket Board take a strong stand against this decision in favour of Gambhir.
