International Cricket Council (ICC) President Percy Sonn is battling for life in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a South African hospital after developing complications following a colon operation.

Three days after he was moved to the ICU of the Durbanville Medi-Clinic, the condition of the 57-year-old cricket administrator remains 'critical'.
Sonn was under heavy sedation and his entire family was on his bed side. His wife Sandra admitted the family was just praying for the crisis to get over.
She said
We are okay, just hanging in there.
Sonn's secretary George Hector had earlier said that the family was hoping against hopes as Sonn's condition was quite grave. Guests are not being allowed to meet the patient and his family and only close friends could be seen there.
Hector, however, added that Sonn was a strong man and he was expecting him to 'pull through' the crisis
