Irrespective of how things are progressing with the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, the ICC Cricket World Cup 2010 is appearing selling like hot cakes, the tickets that is.

KyaZoonga chairman, Neetu Bhatia, revealed, "The tickets available in the first phase quota were all sold out for the India-England match in Kolkata. Overall, the response has been phenomenal for all the 13 venues and 14 teams of the cricketing extravaganza."
Apparently, while the Edens Gardens stadium will have a limited capacity due to renovation, it has not affected the sale of the tickets which have been priced from between Rs.1200-Rs1500. The tickets for the non India matches will be a shade lesser than that. Furthermore, apparently buying online tickets will also lead to updating of the buyer's profile on social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook for the world to know! Sounds a tad pretentious, doesn't it? No one's complaining.
