The ICC top brass, including under-fire CEO Malcolm Speed, heaved a huge sigh of relief after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said that they had no imminent plan to bring a no-confidence motion against the International Cricket Council.

BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah recently told an Australian newspaper that the Indian board was unhappy with the ICC, which had become more and more bureaucratic, and was planning a no-confidence motion in the next meeting.
BCCI also had the support from its Pakistani and Sri Lankan counterparts who promised to join the Indian board in such a move.
Pakistan's relation with ICC soured after the Oval Test fiasco, while the Sri Lankan board is fuming after the farcical end to the World Cup, where their team lost to Australia in a rain-ruined, chaos-marred final in semi-darkness.
However, a BCCI official, on condition of anonymity, ruled out any such immediate plans for a no-confidence motion.
He said
If he (Shah) made those comments, then they are his individual opinion. There has been no discussion among senior members and office bearers of the BCCI about tabling any such motion.
Another anonymous BCCI official added
There is no question of any individual deciding on an action like this. A no-confidence motion is a serious issue and before we take any action like this it has to be discussed within the BCCI and also among other nation members to see if there is some sort of consensus.
