Obviously every Indian is confused and angry at the ICC ranking where our great players have been ignored. There is no Indian in top 10 and Sunil Gavaskar has been ranked 20th with Master Blaster Sachin coming in at 26th rank. It has angered the great Kapil Dev who has come out strongly against the list of ICC of all time greats.

The word 'Great' is surely rankling him because he said that by ignoring those players who had served the game with unmatched devotion and whose play took cricket to great heights so much so that now cricket is the only game which everyone follows with fanatic zeal, the ICC has done a great disservice.
He was sore about the fact that even Matthew Hayden was at 10th position in Tests and 18h position in ODI List whereas the batsman who is acknowledged the best by the modern Bowlers is coming on 26th position.
He is angry at the way the efforts which go into playing the game for a long time and giving a consistently good performance has been totally overlooked by those officials who bought out this list.
He was all praises for Sunil Gavaskar who had a record of maintaining a constant flow of runs which helped India to draw, if not win many matches. He was angry at the way in which only winning a match was given importance by the ICC and not the way Gavaskar faced all the fast bowlers in his time,Lillee,Botham,Hadlee, Garner, Roberts and others and still managed to score runs.
As for Tendulkar he has already been compared to the greatest Don Bradman and he deserves the second position not the 26th. He has been a great player in every different condition and managed to perform well.
As per Kapil Dev the parameters which were used to make out this list are ridiculous and the low positions given to the great players like Tendulkar, Gavaskar, Dravid, Lillee and Wasim Akram is laughable.
