West Indies skipper Brian Lara has fell three places to number 9 in the latest LG ICC Test Player Rankings. This is Lara's lowest ranking since March 2001. While Indian skipper Rahul Dravid retained his fourth position.

Lara did not play up to the expectations in the drawn first Test against India. His figure in the test was 18 and naught.
The record holder batsman was also in dull form on the three-Test tour of New Zealand earlier this year where he scored only 90 runs from five innings.
However, he is ahead of his teammates in LG ICC test ranking. Chris Gayle is in the 22nd place while Shivnarine Chanderpaul at 23rd and Ramnaresh Sarwan at 30th.
With fourth place, skipper Rahul Dravid is the only Indian batsman in the top ten list. Ricky Ponting, Jacques Kallis and Inzamam-ul Haq are in the top three spots.
In the bowling ranking, Muttiah Muralitharan continues to dominate the top position.Makhaya Ntini and Shane Warne are following him. Indian spinner Anil Kumble holds the eighth place.
