Iceland may appear far removed from the cricket world. But it is impacting it as it is Formula One and football as the world's worst aviation crisis looms.

Airport closures over Europe is going to affect air traffic not only for other passengers but also, for cricketers travelling to the Caribbean for the 2010 ICC World Twenty20.
The volcanic ash from the Eyjafjallajokull glacier has badly disrupted air travel, with many resorting to road and sea and it appears the cricketers who have left England's shores for the IPL 3 will be deeply affected as they cannot go home and will have to take a detour of sorts to overcome the travel woes.
While teams such as Australia and New Zealand are expected to fly via the United States, not all teams may be so lucky, with some perhaps pitstopping in the Gulf or Middle East in order to make it in time.
