The Pakistan Cricket Board ( PCB ) chairman, Ijaz Butt, was greeted by irate cricket fans who did not allow him to talk to mediapersons at the Lahore airport upon his return from England.

Butt's reiteration that the Pakistan cricketers were not held or punished by the Scotland Yard despite "nine hours of investigation" fell on deaf ears as Pakistan cricket fans took their anger into the eardrums of the PCB chief, letting him know what they thought of the PCB and the Pakistan cricketers themselves.
