Even as the BCCI have planned a meeting with the IMG for Monday, the IMG has slapped a law suit on the ECB Chairman for defamation.

The IMG is concerned about the repercussions of the allegations by the England and Wales Cricket Board chairman, Giles Clarke, that the IMG was in collusion with Lalit Modi over forming a rebel Twenty20 league and that there were discussions held with three counties in that regard.
The IMG has tie ups with Cricket South Africa and Cricket Australia and do not want the aspersion to cast a cloud of those contracts. Hence, they have filed a suit for defamation in the High Court Queen’s Bench Division.
