A little bit of the comfort may have been negated by the injury to Rahul Dravid, but it was the combination of the Wall and Sachin Tendulkar and his 45th Test century that gave India a day of pure ascendancy at the end of the second day of the second Test against Bangladesh at Dhaka.

Tendulkar and Dravid forged a world record partnership in excess of 100 runs when they brought together the forces that have allowed India to rule the roost to give India a lead of 226 runs with five wickets still in hand.
Dravid disappeared having made 111, no thanks to a bouncer from Shahadat Hossain, a deliberate attempt, that saw the ball hit Dravid in the face. Not only was a bruised cheek in store for Dravid, but also, a fractured jaw that could put his participation in the South Africa's tour of India in doubt.
But by the time of Dravid's injury, India were on top of the game with an unbeaten 222 partnership (because of Dravid's retirement), Sachin Tendulkar recording his 45th Test ton to equal his ODI record.
Earlier in the day, Virender Sehwag disappeared for 56 but it was Gautam Gambhir's dismissal that brought forth disappointment because he could not equal the late Sir Don Bradman's record of six consecutive Test centuries. But that he had equalled West Indies' Viv Richards' record of eleven innings of 50 or more runs in consecutive Tests that was still a good consolation prize.
With India batting on 459 for five, Bangladesh may not expect any respite.
