On a day when many expected Bangladesh to succumb under pressure, they managed to stay afloat, thanks to a century from Tamim Iqbal.

Tamim's century ensured that Bangladesh looked good despite being down by a deficit in excess of 300 runs going into their second innings. However, Bangladesh have a long road ahead of them if they are to spring a surprise on the Indian team.
Bangladesh found themselves at 228 for three at the end of the third day's play at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur in the second Test against India, trailing by eighty-three runs.
The score could have looked a lot better had Bangladesh not lost two wickets at the end of the day having surpassed the score of 218 with just one wicket down. Zaheer Khan played his part in all three of Bangladesh's wickets.
This was all well after Mahendra Singh Dhoni fell for eighty-nine as India declared on 544 for eight.
Junaid Siddique gave good company to Iqbal, making a half century himself but Tamim Iqbal stole the show with his career best 151. But India will feel that it is a matter of time for them to complete the task they came to Bangladesh for. However, for that they must bowl out the hosts for less than the remaining eighty-three runs or as close as possible to finish matters off on the fourth day.
