India continues the winning spree

Finally, the Indian cricket fans have something to celebrate - consecutive series wins at home revives hopes in the team and the supporters of a decent display in the forthcoming mega event.

Final ODI before the team leaves for the Caribbean, a brilliant and integrated performance form the squad was required, many were out to prove their contention for the World Cup and for once, the Indian team delivered to the utmost.

The Indian bowling attack has certainly come of age, I say this with deep-rooted evidences of the recent series. The strike bowlers have demolished the opening attacks of the opponents but the fifth bowler slot still remains in stupor, despite racking couple of wickets early on the opposition still gets of the Indian strangle hold, due to the lack of accuracy from the fillers (this is to be addressed before the team leaves for the World Cup because the better teams will surely target this loophole).

The batting had been a worry for the team for sometime, the ones required to fire weren't meeting the knack - but today all wanted to provide evidence of the imbibed selectors faith in them.

Uthappa and Ganguly have been sublime since their recall but the out of form Sehwag had the sward hanging over his neck though with his speedy 46 he perhaps has averted it for a while - however, the crunch was one of the most devastating ODI player in World cricket Yuvraj Singh who's abilities had come under the scanner post injury comeback but with this match winning knock of 95 he has sounded his return.

Team India has returned to its winning ways and they have proven it that they can do it without Tendulkar too - hope the team remains a cohesive unit and can do some wonders in the West Indies.
