England certainly would not mind capitalizing on the fact that they will be taking on India in their home Test series. With the marking of the 100th India versus England Test, there is even more reason to celebrate the reunion or renewal of rivalry (remember the India England ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 tie).

There are several reasons why India's second assignment post the IPL 4 season may be an exciting proposition. After the tour of the West Indies, India will tour England and it will be a good opportunity for the two teams currently alive in terms of results in the Test format go up against each other.

India are the reigning no.1 Test team and also, recently won the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 despite that tie to England. With a few new rules to establish as far as England's cricket is concerned, they will seize this opportunity to measure up to the task or realize where they need to improve. Either way the opportunity to beat the world beaters will an enticing proposition for the English summer.

With India equally keen to keep up their status, a keen contest in on the cards with coaches pitting battles behind the scenes as do Mahendra Singh Dhoni's men against the England team that will field three captains for the three formats.

To add to an already lined up prospect, India will be playing England in the 100th Test between the two teams that will coincide with the venue that is Lord's, making this a memorable feast, leaving aside the results. It will also give England the opportunity to stage a successful cricket series after their last series against Pakistan that ended under the dark image of match fixing in the form of spot fixing.

The kind of extravaganza planned for this momentous occasion is yet to be determined. However, given the contest alone, that should be a crowd puller in itself. Undoubtedly, there will be more than one reason to line up for this Test, which is supposedly the 2000th international Test.
