Indian Squad for Sri Lanka Tri Series Sees Tendulkar, Harbhajan, Gambhir Rested

The Indian selectors announced the Indian squad for the ODI tri series to be held in Sri Lanka following the Test series.

The tri series, which also involves New Zealand, will have the Indian squad depleted in the absence of Sachin Tendulkar who has yet again been rested, Gautam Gambhir who has been given a break, and Harbhajan Singh who states he is suffering from a few niggles.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni will now lead a team that in the absence of Zaheer Khan will be spearheaded in the bowling department by Ashish Nehra joined by Abhimanyu Mithun as well as the troubled Ishant Sharma who gets another chance.

The opening slot will see the return of Virender Sehwag and also, Dinesh Karthik for another umpeenth opportunity. Yuvraj Singh comes back into the team after the flu that forced him out of the second Test.
