The IPL will no doubt become the testing ground for this pool of players.
The only notable absent from the 2009 ICC World Tweny20 in the UK - Irfan Pathan, who is reported to be suffering a back injury. Hopefully that is the only reason. But if the selectors think he is not fit enough, will he playing for the Kings XI Punjab in the 2010 IPL 3 next month?
