The ICC World Twenty20 has lost its sheen for team India. The defending champions now plan and prepare for the four ODI tour to the Caribbean even as the West Indies plan to take on Sri Lanka in the second semi final tomorrow.

The BCCI selection panel announced the team for the Caribbean journey. And the names are pretty much those expected to do the rounds.
Sachin Tendulkar continues to miss out on the international circuit, having yet to recover from a finger injury courtesy the IPL. Also missing out are Virender Sehwag whose shoulder injury led to much of the alleged Dhoni Sehwag rift in England. Suresh Raina has picked up a hairline fracture in his thumb. This has meant that India will lose out on some of the players it would have ideally played in its final playing eleven.
Zaheer Khan has been rested while Munaf Patel and Irfan Pathan have been dropped.
The dearth created by the absence of these names will be made up by the likes of Ravindra Jadeja, Subramaniam Badrinath, M. Vijay, R.P. Singh and Ashish Nehra. While R.P. Singh performed very well in the IPL 2 in South Africa, Ashish Nehra is clearly the comeback man of the moment. Amongst the newcomers, Abhishek Nayyar earns a place, though many stated he should have been picked much earlier.
With the team in desperate need to win back their fans, Mahendra Singh Dhoni will have to do with the best he has and pick up the pieces. The Caribbean it is then.
