Even though Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf is sympathetic on his country’s national cricket team in the wake of ball-tampering row, the former bigwig players feel that skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq did not handle the situation properly.Among them, Javed Miandad is the forefront of criticizing the Pakistan captain.
Inzamam committed a blunder by not taking field following the ball-tampering row that ruined the fourth Test against England and scripted a infamous record in the cricketing history.
According to Javed Miandad, Inzamam had accepted Darrell Hari’s decision by playing the game until the break. Either he should have taken the decision immediately or have played the match under protest.
Miandad observed,
Pakistan committed mistake after mistake and put themselves in a no-win situation. If I were in Inzamam’s place, I would have asked the boys to play on. I would have played under protest and kept the door open for the appeal.
From my point of view, Miandad is sensible to make such a strong comment on Inzamam. In fact, Darrell Hair’s decision is deeply regretted by one and all. It is the primary duty of the International Cricket Council to look into the matter. By leaving ground in protest of umpire’s decision proves childish nature of Inzamam as well as Pakistan team.

Dear Tasmeena,
In fact, your comment is very sound. You have explored dark sides of ICC, what we have been witnessing over the years. The oval incident where Pakistan Cricket Team was the wrost sufferer of Hair’s wrao is just a reminder. However, the way Pakistan cricket team reacted is also condemnable. Because, they shoud not leave the ground at least for the tea session.
it’s a very big issue of accusing a team of ball tampering OR CHEATING in other word’s
i believe INZAMAM did the right thing by protesting, it’s been happening wid da sub-continental teams time n again.....we needed sumone 2 raise our voices to ICC......m very hapy dat this happened.....atleast they’ll think twice before accusing a team widout any proof.....
i bet u if it would hav been australia or south africa.....they would hav walked off the field straight away.
WELL DONE INZI!!!!
