IPL 2: A Trip in Vain For Kaif and Some

The IPL 2 is yet to get underway but for some members of the Rajasthan Royals team, it has been a trip in vain to IPL 2's new destination, South Africa.

Mohammad Kaif was bought by the Rajasthan Royals franchisee owner Emerging Media for $625,000. But apparently after his last year's inconsistent showing that yielded a mere 176 runs at an average of sixteen, they are having second thoughts.

The squad is being reduced in numbers in South Africa and apparently, amongst the seven players who will be coming back home even before the opening ceremony include Kaif. There is little doubt that while Kaif performed more of a translator's role last year, he would have been looking for personal redemtpion, but it is not coming in the IPL 2.
