The Kings XI Punjab did not have much going for them except for Kumar Sangakkara’s forty-five. Harbhajan Singh got the early breakthrough, removing Karan Goel and Lasith Malinga came into the picture to complete the mess in the Kings XI Punjab, which could have looked worse still without Sangakkara’s valuable contributions.
