Apart from Dwayne Smith’s forty-eight, the Hyderabad Deccan Chargers missed the electrifying start to their innings from the opening duo, captain Adam Gilchrist and Herschelle Gibbs. So far it has been an IPL that has not seen Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir fire. But the Delhi Daredevils have made up with crucial innings from AB de Villiers and Tillekaratne Dilshan. On this occasion, it was the Sri Lankan who led the chase with a half century, sharing a vital seventy-nine partnership with Dinesh Karthik to thwart the rumble created by Shoaib Ahmed’s double wicket blow.
