When the Mumbai Indians batsmen laboured, the Rajasthan Royals played out a rather easy game in the end. Although the Royals had to work for the wickets, they showed that winning could be done in style.

What would have pumped the Rajasthan Royals team, despite crashing out of the IPL 4 league stage to not feature in the IPL 4 playoffs, was the fact that this would be the last time that Shane Warne would play with them as captain and they certainly wanted to finish the IPL 4 season on a high.

Sachin Tendulkar, the Mumbai Indians captain, tried his hardest with thirty-three runs of defiance at the Wankhede Stadium, but was running out of partners. Rohit Sharma and Kieron Pollard tried to make a better case for the Mumbai Indians, the former scoring a vital half century as Mumbai Indians struggled against Shane Watson who picked up three wickets to finish on 133.

Just how tiring the Mumbai Indians were was revealed in the manner in which the Rajasthan Royals tore into the Mumbai Indians with the bat in hand. Indeed, it was almost a one man show as Shane Watson, after a tremendous bowling effort to pick three wickets for nineteen from four overs, returned even more dangerously with the bat, scoring eighty-nine mind boggling rusn to stun the Mumbai Indians as the Rajasthan Royals capped off a momentous run for Warne in only thirteen overs.
