The stunning developments at the BCCI Annual General Meeting have put serious doubts on the IPL 4 player auctions.

The BCCI AGM aftermath has seen the BCCI planning to issue showcause notices to three IPL franchisees – Rajasthan Royals, Kings XI Punjab and Kochi – asking them to explain their patterns of funding as well as ownership. With the notices to be formally issued and the franchsiees having to respond to them satisfactory, it could seriously set back the IPL 4 player auction plans depending on what the BCCI intends to do with errant franchisees.

There is more drama and unfinished business with franchisees before the one with the players gets underway.
