Shrouded by the IPL 3 controversy, the IPL Awards have not had too many people to attract. But some cricketers walked away with the awards even though others such as Chennai Super Kings captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, and the Mumbai Indians captain, Sachin Tendulkar, failed to show up as expected in the feud involving the IPL Chairman and Commissioner, Lalit Modi.

The IPL Awards jury included Sunil Gavaskar, Lalit Modi, Brian Lara, Javagal Srinath, Simon Taufel and Harsha Bhogle.
