IPL Franchisees Not in favour of IMG Firing

The BCCI may have made its decision to disassociate itself from IMG from the IPL 3 season. However, not all franchisees are backing the BCCI move.

The only reason the Chennai Super Kings do not seem to be joining hands with their other franchisees because N. Srinivasan has a stake in it while also holding the post of the BCCI secretary.

However, franchisee owners such as Mukesh Ambani of the Mumbai Indians, Shah Rukh Khan of the Kolkata Knight Riders and Manoj Badale of the Rajasthan Royals, have all expressed concern over the BCCI decision which they feel should have at least been made after consulting them.

They are also of the opinion that it was because of the reputation of the IMG that the IPL was able to take off so spectacularly or else, it would have amounted to little, citing that sternly the case of the ICC World Twenty20 in England.
