The BCCI's selection panel has released a list of names for the Irani Trophy as well as the NKP Salve Challenger Series.

The panel announced the three teams for the Challenger Series that will be played between the 8th to the 11th of October as well as the Rest of India team led by Virender Sehwag for the competition on the 1st of October. This will then mark Sehwag's return since having been last seen in the IPL 2 in South Africa and his absence on the field caused quite the controversy during the 2009 ICC World Twenty20 in England.
