Pakistan cricket continues its agonizing turmoil over the captaincy questionmark for the World Cup even as some like Mohammad Yousuf appear to be battling their own problems.

That Yousuf is not enjoying cricket these days under the circumstances can be an understatement. After being overlooked for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 for Pakistan's World Cup 2011 squad, only Yousuf seems more surprised than anyone else in Pakistan. And now he does not see a point in a cricket retirement.

Yousuf was always towing a difficult line as far as making Pakistan's World Cup squad was concerned given that he had not made the Pakistan squad for New Zealand. However, given the ever changing situation in Pakistan cricket, players usually do not know whether they are going or coming.

And that is precisely what Yousuf seemed to be reiterating when he asked the queries from the media and suggested that signing off from cricket was a waste of time, the disgruntlement clearly evident from the snub.

It may be recalled that Yousuf did retire from international cricket and was brought in when Pakistan found themselves at the deep end of trouble mid last year. And it is a complete turnaround from the time when Yousuf had practically signed off playing cricket to now sulking about the fact that a senior cricketer like him had been completely overlooked.

Worse still, Yousuf is furious that Pakistan cricketers are not given a glorious send off but rather forced to find their way out of the spotlight without expecting the last set of arc lights showcasing a nostalgic trip.
