Jacob Oram has sounded the bugle. He will no longer play Test cricket if he can help extend his bowling.

The New Zealand all rounder had to leave the New Zealand team that played in the ICC Champions Trophy 2009 in South Africa with a hamstring injury to add the list of injuries he has suffered in the course of his career.
Oram, who has been signed by the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL, has announced that he would rather concentrate on bowling than play Test cricket, an announcement that did not take too many people by surprise though it has saddened people nonetheless.
But Oram will be available for New Zealand for all ODIs and Twenty20 matches, in what is believed to be a situation not unlike Andrew Flintoff who has coined a new term "freelance cricketer" though perhaps Andrew Symonds of Australia would like to believe he preempted the coining.
