Just when bowling inexperience was taking its toll on England's World Cup campaign (the management struggling to figure out the right combination) the squad is dealt a sever blow - frontline bowler James Anderson is suspected to have broken a finger of his right hand.

Anderson sustained injury during the teams fielding drill and was immediately taken to the hospital for further investigation. X-Ray scans confirm a fractured finger though the paceman will be reassessed today.
Injuries are a major facet of team England - James wasn't a part of the victorious ODI squad in Australia (down with back spasms), the skipper himself is vulnerable to injuries.
England face a daunting task in their World Cup opener against New Zealand - and will genuinely hope that the injury isn't serious enough to rule Anderson out of the opening game.
