England may have suffered a blow ahead of the ODI series against Australia with a knee injury to Joe Denly.

Denly, Kent cricketer who made his ODI debut against Ireland only last week, was expected to be in the playing line up for the first ODI against Australia at the Oval.
However, that now looks in serious doubt after he twisted his knee during a football practice amongst fellow England cricketers and had to helped off the field. Now a scan will reveal the extent of his injury and subsequently, his chances of featuring in the match and perhaps the series.

Incidentally Denly was also a keen footballer before he decided to pursue cricket for its no contact policy, but football hazards appear to have caught up with him.
