And no, he was not talking in the context of the Bollywood movie, "3 Idiots".

Former New Zealand captain and ICC match referee, John Reid, is far from impressed with the behaviour of the Australian team and in particular of some of the Australian cricketers.
Reid stated following the on field confrontation between Mitchell Johnson and Scott Styris during the Aus NZ ODI match where Johnson appeared to head butt the New Zealand all rounder, "Generally the Australian team looks good, but there are a handful of idiots who need to be reined in." He also added, "Do your work with the bat and the ball, not your mouth," emphasizing that Australians are "always the worst at sledging."
He did feel that the match referee in this instance, Sri Lankan Ranjan Madugalle, could have imposed stronger punishment. Johnson had received a 60 per cent match fee fine.
But Reid says he has seen a few of the incidents himself, "I dealt with barging by Glenn McGrath, bowlers standing in the way of a runner - like Johnson did to Styris - and Curtly Ambrose knocking the stumps out of the ground."
