I never thought that the July Joy would so quickly vanish from Indian Cricket. Team India scripted a glorious record in the Caribbean islands when it defeated the hosts in the test series after the 35 years. The victory was enough to prove the fact that India is no more an overseas struggler. The BCCI’s approval to twenty20 format of game is good news for cricket fans in India. ICC has permitted India to host the World Cup finals in 2011. The decision also came this month. However, all the joys vanished in a sudden. Let me prove this.

The two controversies churned the cricketing sprit of India. Sourav Ganguly is agog with Jagmohan Dalmiya while Sachin Tendulkar is in cold war against Sanjay Manjrekar. Ganguly is accusing Dalmiya of playing with his career. He said that Dalmiya had leaked the e-mail, which eventually axed him from national team. With this assertion, the E-mail politics would come to the forefront and defame Indian Cricket.

The return of Sachin Tendulkar irked Sanjay Manjrekar who in a newspaper column argued that timing of Sachin’s injury breaks at times was questionable. He further said that Sachin should not be afraid of failure. Sachin sharply reacted to the comment. These two controversies would put negative impacts on Indian Cricket.
