There seems to be an air of confusion all around with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) denying Ijaz Butt's claims.

A day after the PCB Chairman added to the confusion of a possible ICC probe of two Pakistan cricketers, allegedly involved in match fixing, Butt's remarks were reported as misinterpreted.
While the ICC is not sending out an official word, it appears there is all round confusion in Pakistan with Butt suggesting that the cricketers under investigation could be current cricketers. And given the chaos surrounding Kamran Akmal in the Sydney Test and thereafter, in the Hobart Test, the rumours spread like wild fire.
Butt had said, “Match-fixing could be going on but it is hard to prove. We have proof against two players but I cannot reveal the names of players involved in match-fixing."
However, the PCB claims that the investigations in Pakistan's poor performance in Australia are regarding old matters even as the ICC denies it has anything to do with the current chaos.
