Kamran Akmal has been given the all clear signal as far as his playing for Pakistan is concerned.

Kamran was reportedly down with appendicitis that ruled him out of the ODI series of the Pakistan South Africa series. However, there have been rumours abound that the senior Akmal brother may have run foul with the ICC as the premier governing body was reportedly investigating phone calls amongst other details of Kamran Akmal and Salman Butt following suspicions from the ICC World Twenty20.
Akmal sought clarification on the issue and the ICC have assured him they are not standing in the way of his selection to the playing squad for Pakistan cricket and that he was cleared of the charges, an echo of what Salman Butt had to tell Pakistan television stations a while back.
With so much fuelling speculation surrounding Pakistan cricket, separating fact from fiction can be a difficult thing. Akmal was just making sure that he was absolved on one front at least. The fate of Pakistan cricket continues to be a matter of turmoil.
