It must be the smell of sweet timing because that is certainly what England thought they were enjoying in the England Ireland clash in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 match in Bengaluru before they were upstaged by a record breaking knock from Kevin O'Brien who scored the fastest World Cup century off only fifty balls.
As England go into a stern test against South Africa on Sunday at the same venue, it appears KP has found one way to relive new confidence, by the sweet smell of his bat...hopefully. While James Anderson seems clearly unimpressed or not bothered, Andrew Strauss seems to at least understand where KP is coming from!
