After months of dilly dallying with the press, it is now official. The Mohali team in the IPL is looking at new owners, with Preity Zinta to play only a minor role going into IPL 4.

Even as two new teams, Sahara's Pune and Rendezvous' Kochi, join IPL 4, the uncertainty surrounding the new equations involved has forced the Kings XI Punjab to carry forth the speculation into reality.
The speculation grew stronger after the Bollywood actor and her then beau and partner, Ness Wadia, parted ways on a personal level. Now they will part ways professionally as well. But they are not the only stake holders. Rohit and Gaurav Burman, who has been in the headlines following the IPL controversies involving the suspended IPL chairman and commissioner, Lalit Modi, as well as Karan Paul are also involved with the KXIP team which has now names ISIS group, a London based private equities company, as a possible buyer which the BCCI will now have to ratify.
Additionally, Zinta's holding in the team will go down from the 23 per cent to barely seven percent, which effectively puts her not only in the minority but also, leaves her as the brand ambassador for the team she has put her strength behind.
The KXIP team has been dogged with controversies with the captaincy changing hands from Yuvraj Singh to Kumar Sangakkara, from the flamboyant all rounder's close friendship with Zinta, to even Videocon reportedly wanting to buy out the team. Now it will be interesting to see how KXIP changes ownership.
