Politics of the blame game developed an ugly turn when Kirti Azad, former Indian cricketer, first alleged that he was manhandled by the DDCA and then chose to backtrack even as the DDCA President and BJP leader, Arun Jaitley, refuse to see Azad's viewpoint.

Member of the Lok Sabha, Azad, first claimed he was manhandled when he raised the issue of the Ferozeshah Kotla Stadium debacle in the fifth ODI between India and Sri Lanka in New Delhi. Later he stated he was only repeatedly interrupted when trying to make his point.
But his comments drew ire from the DDCA (Delhi District Cricket Association) officials, including Jaitley, vice president, Chetan Chauhan, and Sunil Dev stating that it was only a routine AGM and that Azad was making false claims. It certainly was getting hot in there.
