Lalit Modi could only look on in disbelief as his house in the posh Juhu locality in Mumbai went up in flames.

A short circuit is being explained for the reason why the IPL Chairman and Commissioner's house was reported to be on fire at around 5.45 pm in the Gandhigram Road in Juhu on the evening of Saturday last.
The second floor of Modi's bungalow "Anand" was apparently gutted and even eight fire engines could not put out the fire three hours later. While the family was led to safety, apparently his office and documents are destroyed in the blaze.
Tough times these for Modi.
